Here are Domowik- home spirits. In the old days it was believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors did not always go to the afterlife underwolrd place. Sometimes they stayed on the farm to help the living, becoming guardian spirits. In exchange for a little food, Domowik looked after the cottage, guarded it against evil and ensured prosperity.
The work was created during an artist-in-residence at Löblhof & Artgrund in Staňkovice (CZ), 2019.
